The soft textures of the beef and ratatouille are offset by the Parmesan crisps, while the basil coulis and aged balsamic each provide contrasting nuances of herbaceous freshness and sweetness. The menu is divided in half with two tasting menus (with a la carte options as well so you can easily mix and match). The Saveur menu (meaning “flavor” in French) is created by Lallement, while the Goût menu (meaning “taste”) is created by Hunnel. Both are exquisite options, and while my sister opted to stick to the Goût side of the menu, I tried a little bit of each. The problem, in a manner of speaking, is that the dishes at Remy, much like those at Victoria & Albert’s, are in a class of their own.
Remy: Fine French Dining on Disney Cruise Line
Outside on the pool deck of Disney Magic, Duck-In Diner dishes out lunch and snacks to hungry cruisers. The menu here is a fun mix of American favorites like burgers and dogs, plus Middle Eastern-inspired shawarma wrapped in a warm pita. I love the shawarma because you can see it rotating on a vertical spit right behind the counter and load up your sandwich with your favorite toppings. Near Disney Wish's main pool is Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods. This outdoor open-air concept is made up of five smaller quick-service windows dishing out barbecue, pizza, burgers, tacos and ice cream.

My main complaint about the dishes in the rotational restaurants are that the potatoes are always phoned in. If Bob Ross has happy little trees, I’ll take happy little potatoes. Our next course was when the two menus diverged rather significantly. The French menu presented what I like to call “a tribute to all foods but especially beets”.
Replies to “Disney Dream Remy Dinner Review”
You can’t bring your kids to Remy, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go. Disney has fantastic kids’ clubs where you can leave your youngsters for while you enjoy an adult dining experience. If your kids are age three or older (and potty trained), you can leave them at the Oceaneer Club or Lab, Edge, or Vibe with no reservation and no charge.
The meal starts with your hosts, Ant-Man and the Wasp, explaining what the interactive quantum core on your table is for. Then, throughout the meal, you'll work with Marvel superheroes to save the ship from an impending villain. Breakfast here is fairly basic but more relaxing than hitting the buffet line. The three-course lunch menu is a nice alternative if you're looking for a table-service lunch.
Before you even get to Preludes, you will smell the freshly popped popcorn, which can be served in a souvenir popcorn bucket. If you bring your bucket back to Preludes, you can enjoy discounted popcorn refills throughout your cruise. Buckets that are brought on board from other cruises or from a Disney Park are not available for refills at the discounted price. The buffet has both inside and outside seating, so on warm sea days, take your plate outside to enjoy the view of the ship's wake. If your kids love tea parties and Disney princesses, you might want to book one of the Royal Court Royal Tea experiences on a Disney cruise.

The $135 dinner on Disney Cruise Line isn't cheap, but the fancy food sold me on it being worth it
Disney Wish's 1923 is one of the best rotational dining options across Disney Cruise Line. The restaurant is named after the year that The Walt Disney Company was founded and celebrates animation through glass-encased shadow boxes of sketches and maquettes of Disney characters. Disney Cruise Line's signature rotational dining restaurant is Animator's Palate, which can be found on the four oldest Disney ships. On Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, the restaurant is covered in black-and-white sketches of popular Disney and Pixar characters.
My favorite is Donald's Cantina, which is a make-your-own Tex-Mex spot with plenty of base, protein and topping options, along with a nearby salsa and hot sauce bar. The dinner menu is similar to that of Palo on the other Disney ships, with a prix-fixe dinner starting at $50 and an a la carte option. The a la carte menu emphasizes steaks, with American prime cuts, Australian wagyu and Japanese Kobe and Miyazaki beef you can pair with one of five sauces. If you ask, you can also get a sauce flight to try all of the options with your steak. Brunch starts with a glass of prosecco or a mimosa, then your choice of antipasti plates. I suggest taking a few people with you to brunch so you can try a few of the dishes on the menu, though one not to miss is the chicken Parmesan that's served with risotto.

One of my favorite parts of my recent trip on the Disney Dream was brunch at the fine dining restaurant Remy, inspired by the movie Ratatouille. We enjoyed a prix fixe menu developed by Chef Scott Hunnel (from Victoria & Alberts at WDW Grand Floridian) and 3 Michelin starred Chef Arnauld Lallement (from l’Assiette Champenoise hotel in France). The Truffle Collection can be enjoyed from November through February aboard the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, as you join the chefs from Remy in celebration truffle season. The premium menu was inspired by the Alba and black Perigord truffles. This is all followed by a selection of distinguished cheeses and a sweet indulgence, to top everything off of course!
This is the first time a Disney restaurant has been awarded this high honor. However, Capa Steakhouse at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando — located on Walt Disney World property — also has a Michelin Star. Most drinks are included with your overall Disney cruise cost. These include drip coffee, juice, soda from soda machines, tap water, milk, tea and lemonade. The exceptions are alcoholic drinks, canned sodas from bars, bottled water and smoothies, which are purchased individually and charged to your folio.
We also did this experience on the Disney Fantasy in 2022. I obviously took pictures during the Dessert Experience and I saw several other guests doing this as well. Don’t use your flash and don’t keep your phone or camera on the table while you’re actually dining. Some guests enjoy fancy dress and choose to get gussied up to dine at Remy, but this is not required. You’ll find that more people get fancified at dinner than at brunch or the Dessert Experience. Normally, the servers try to encourage each guest to order from different sides of the chef’s menus or offer a create-your-own a la carte menu.
Normally, I do not fall for bread service trap, but this bread was something special and it would have been a crime not to get a second slice. At the time of our cruise, the Disney Fantasy just started serving bread which was born in France. My sister’s entrée from the Goût side of the menu is onion ash and black Hawaiian salt dusted lamb medallions, asparagus, marble potatoes, and pickled onions.
The golden bread plate is the perfect for the new bread being served at Remy. A non-alcoholic alternative to the Collette is available – appropriately named, the Linguini. We have not tried it, but a few people we know have and they’ve told us they enjoyed it. Click here for a review from Remy and videos of Q&A with the chefs.
Then there’s the 1961 Château Latour that Chef Skinner offers Linguini to try to learn the secrets behind his cooking skills. Nice pants and a button-up shirt or even a suit will suffice for men. When it comes to choosing what to wear to Remy, guests should tend towards the more formal wear. For example, if it is something you would wear as a guest to a formal wedding, then it should be good to wear to Remy.
Remy is most upscale dining venue on the Dream and Fantasy; the restaurants are very similar on both ships. The photos in this post are of the Dream, but the Fantasy is substantially the same. Specific times and schedules may vary, so always check in your cruise schedule or app to see the exact times. My main course for the evening was a delicious Kobe style beef with an enjoyable smoked garlic potatoes. The chicken dish was not just your normal everyday chicken, it is Poularde chicken which is defined as a young hen at least 120 days old that has never laid and egg. The dish was accompanied by artichoke and a chicken sauce.
She’s treating us to a review of the ultra-posh Remy — a Disney Cruise Line fine-dining restaurant. Obviously, this comparison is hyperbolic and merely to illustrate my point. The point is that using chefs who have earned Michelin stars elsewhere to craft menus is a popular marketing tool. The monetary cost plus the opportunity cost of dining here over the “free” meals is pretty steep, but Remy is so, so good. It’ll have you tasting flavors you never even knew existed; it’s like your sense of taste is heightened.
